If an item or a shop doesn’t comply with Afrosmartshop’s policies, you can report it on Afrosmartshop.com. You can’t currently report items on the Afrosmartshop app.
How to report an item
To report an item:
- On the listing page for an item, click Report this item to Afrosmartshop.
- Select a reason from the dropdown and add a note. If your specific concern is not provided as an option, add the relevant details in the text box.
How to report a shop
To report a shop:
- On the shop homepage, click Report this shop to Afrosmartshop in the sidebar.
- Select a reason from the dropdown and add a note. If your specific concern is not provided as an option, add the relevant details in the text box.
Intellectual property issues
Reporting items or shops helps Afrosmartshop maintain accuracy and transparency in the marketplace. However, reporting should not be used for intellectual property matters.
Problems with an order
If you are having a problem with your order, you should contact the seller directly.
If you’ve already done that, your order hasn’t arrived when it should, or the item not as described, you have the option to open a case. We recommend that you work with the seller to resolve the problem before you open a case.
After you report an item
A notice will be sent to Afrosmartshop to review the item. Afrosmartshop has several teams responsible for reviewing items flagged in the marketplace. We may contact the seller or take other appropriate action.
In some cases, Afrosmartshop’s investigation will reveal that the item or shop is in fact in compliance with Afrosmartshop’s policies. In cases like these, no action will be taken.
In other cases, Afrosmartshop will work with a member privately to remedy any issues raised by flagging.
Please don’t flag a single violation multiple times or discuss an item you have flagged in any of Afrosmartshop’s community spaces.
Reporting and privacy
Reporting items or shops is a confidential process. The reported member won’t know who reported them.
Afrosmartshop’s investigation will be handled privately. You will not receive a personal response to your reporting message or any updates on the review process.
